Edit: I've also added a sidebar template in the common style of D&D layout, again no images only text styles. (see the image previews) 

So I've started back in on 5e content, and I spent some time looking around for any publisher/indesign templates. I found a lot of templates for homebrew stuff, mostly for photoshop, occasionally for indesign. But one thing I couldn't find was a solid statblock template. 

Every template or package provide a variety of textured backgrounds, maybe some assets or tables. But every single one I could find expected you to use a variety of online generators to create your statblock and then take an image of that statblock and paste it into your work. Such things run into issues from being pixelated or grainy and just not quite feeling right in a  document where everything else sharp hi-quality vectorized work or it requires extra steps to make it accessible, since it isn't readable text but an image of text.

So I decided to make my own.

That worked for my current project, and the fonts aren't exactly the same as a 5e game, that is by design, but once you have this template in your hands it would be pretty easy to change the colors or fonts of everything involved.

No indesign file

Unfortunately I don't have anyway to export my Affpub file in an indesign capable file. I do have a pdf in the package that will import into Indesign in a fashion, but in that situation a lot of the text decorations have converted into image assets, but it is still doable using the pdf! (for some this may even be preferable?)

What is in here?

• A packaged Affinity file which includes all fonts used (no images are included because the statblock template exclusively uses only fonts and font decoration styles)
• a pdf of the template for use with indesign.

Future

I will likely be updating this with any additional templates I make, as that grows the price will go up for new buyers, but anyone who already owns it will get the new material without having to pay.

Terms of use

Even if I didn't allow it, you could easily use this in commercial projects without notice, that being said: you may use this for commercial products without feeling guilty!
